About the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Launched in 1998, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) was Canada’s first PNP and today nominates more than 5,000 immigrants a year. It targets skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs with a genuine connection to Manitoba — family, friends, prior study, or prior work in the province.
Program Streams
Skilled Worker Stream
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba — for applicants already working in Manitoba with a job offer from a local employer
- Skilled Worker Overseas — for applicants outside Canada with a strong Manitoba connection (family, prior work, or study), including an Express Entry-aligned pathway and an Employer Direct Recruitment pathway
International Education Stream
For recent graduates of a Manitoba post-secondary institution, including career, graduate, or student entrepreneur pathways.
Business Investor Stream
For qualified business investors and entrepreneurs intending to start or purchase a business in Manitoba, including a dedicated student entrepreneur pathway for recent Manitoba graduates.
Selection
Manitoba selects through an Expression of Interest pool and targeted draws. A genuine Manitoba connection — settlement intent, prior ties, or an employer relationship — is central to the worker and graduate routes.
How We Help
We help establish and document your Manitoba connection, choose the right stream and pathway, and prepare your Expression of Interest and application.
