About the Yukon Nominee Program
The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) lets Canada’s smallest-population territory nominate foreign workers and business investors for permanent residence, addressing labour shortages in a small, high-employment economy. Employers — not workers — submit YNP applications, one per foreign worker they want to hire.
Program Streams
- Skilled Worker Stream — for qualified workers with a job offer from a Yukon employer in a skilled position (NOC TEER 0, 1, or 2)
- Express Entry Stream — for candidates with an active federal Express Entry profile and a valid Yukon job offer
- Critical Impact Worker Stream — for semi-skilled and entry-level positions Yukon employers can’t fill locally
- Community Pilot — a community-driven pathway for candidates intending to settle in a participating Yukon community
- Business Nominee Stream — for entrepreneurs establishing or purchasing a business in Yukon
You don’t need to already be working in Yukon to apply — you need either a Yukon employer job offer or a credible plan to establish a Yukon business. If approved, the Government of Yukon nominates you, and you apply to IRCC for permanent residence.
